Steve White 2009-2016

Raised in Warwick, RI, Steve White was a 3-season varsity athlete at Warwick Veterans Memorial HS, lettering in football (3 yrs), basketball (2yrs), and track and field (1yr). A scholar-athlete, Steve was a 2-time Academic All Division and a 1st Team All Division Football Player, as well as an All-City as defensive tackle. At center his sophomore year, Steve was part of WVMHS’ 2000 JV State Championship hoops team. In track, Steve placed 4th in the City Championship discus and was part of the Conference Championship.

After graduating in 2002, Coach Steve went on to the University of Rhode Island where he played 2 seasons as an Offensive Linesman for the Rams before a concussion cut short his collegiate athletic career. Coach Steve graduated from URI in 2007 with a Kinesiology BS and Biology Minor. He then completed Howard University’s Physician Assistant program and is currently working in the field of Sports Medicine in Washington, DC. His passion for coaching comes from the love of competition and athletics. Coach Stephen believes, “There’s nothing more gratifying than teaching lessons on the field to kids that they can take off the field.

Coach Steve was elected into the Koa Hall of Fame in 2015, an accomplishment he is immensely proud of. You can catch Steve on the flag field coaching, reffing, and cheering on his former players!
