Koa Sports is launching the (KSS) Koa Sports Students Program! This program is a combination of Sport Management Classes and providing matching Volunteer Opportunities. We will talk about the college admission process, benefits of a sport management degree, and how to gain entry into the competitive sport industry. Koa Sports will build your student's skills and keep your student athletes a step ahead of the competition!

 

What's Included?

  • Bi-weekly Newsletter with SSL Opportunities (Koa and external opportunities).  We source the facility, times, dates, locations, etc...so you don't have to.
  • 4 Virtual Sport Management Classes and Discussions (w/guest speakers)
    • Thursday, October 26th at 7:00pm - 8:00pm
    • Tuesday, November 7th at 7:00pm - 8:00pm
    • Thursday, November 30th at 7:00pm - 8:00pm
    • Tuesday, December 12th at 7:00pm - 8:00pm
  • End of programming discussion/event, in person - Sunday, December 17th at 12:00pm-1:00pm at Pro-Fit in Rockville.

Dates: Program begins October 23, 2023 and concludes December 23, 2023

KSS Instructor & Director

Emily received her BA in Sport Management at Towson University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and was the 2019 College of Health Professions Student Commencement Speaker. Emily is a published author in the Journal of Sport Management Education for her research on "Experiential Learning From a Classroom Desk: Exploring Student Perceptions of Applied Coursework". In 2023, Emily was awarded Towson University's "Top Tigers in Their 20s awards". Before getting into her role at Koa Sports, Emily interned and worked for Coach Harwood, Towson Athletics, US Lacrosse, Baltimore Ravens, Frederick Keys, TU Campus Recreation, and most recently was an Assistant Director at Loyola University Recreation & Wellness Department.
