Koa Fall Recreational FH League (2nd-8th)
Koa Recreational Field Hockey — Maryland and Washington DC
For 7 weeks, our league will meet for a dynamic warm-up and a half-hour practice before their games. The games provide a fun, competitive atmosphere for 2nd-8th graders, while our experienced Koa coaches discuss field hockey tactics. AND, it means only a single-day of sports commitments for the spring.
Girls of all experience levels are welcome! Whether you are a returning player or a new-kid-on-the-FH-block, our staff is ready to coach to your exact skill level. This is the perfect environment for girls looking to try-out a new sport — or a girl who simply wants to stay active through the fall. Check out the FAQs for more info!

No. BUT, if you’d like to practice during the week, Koa does offer a series of mid-week clinics you are welcome to register for as well. These clinics run parallel to the season, so they can function as a mid-week practice!
Absolutely! During the registration process, simply list the girls’ names in the “schedule/team preference” box. Or come up with a creative team name and have all the girls list that. We’ll make sure they all end up together.
Done deal. We have a huge number of “free-agents” each year and we’re more than happy to place them on a team with other girls their age (and from their school, if possible). It’s a really inclusive environment and your daughter will fit in easily.
Sounds like she should be trying-out for our club program!
The Community.
Too often, the boys in the neighborhood are the ones out playing and the girls are stuck on the sideline. No longer.
Koa field hockey is an active, positive environment for your daughter. Working alongside like-minded peers and under the tutelage of fun, positive coaches/role models, this is the perfect training grounds to start your daughter on an active lifestyle (or help transition her to a different sport!).
Whether you’ve played before or are a stranger to the game, join us this fall and let’s get moving!
