Koa Sports In the Washington Post

Dear Koa parents:

For the second time in the last six months Koa Sports has been featured in the Washington Post. Today’s article discusses parent involvement, club versus rec sports, and the overall state of youth sports.

Our purpose is to shape kids’ lives through sports – through development, a focus on teamwork, and fun!

As parents, you have many choices for placement of your children in youth sports leagues, and we are grateful for the confidence you have shown in Koa by entrusting us with the development of your children.

Click here for the article on the front page of today’s Washington Post. It raises a number of important issues and challenges that we – as parents and youth sports professionals – face every day. We want to you remind you that Koa has a different philosophy than most in the ways we approach working with your children.

Koa’s focus is on…

  • Putting the physical and emotional needs of children first.
  • Finding the right environment for each child – either through our elite travel teams or through our rec leagues, each of which are coached by quality professionally trained coaches.
  • Creating an environment where each child can reach his or her potential, have fun, work hard, and make lifelong friends.

As always, we welcome your feedback on how we are meeting your and your child’s goals, and what we can do better.

Sincerely,

Tony Korson | CEO
