Blog #19.29
Rec League Play Day Recap:
This past Sunday, our Fall Rec League came to an end. The last day was a tournament-style play day where all the teams come out and compete against each other to become Rec League Champions! This was a great opportunity for teams to put their new skills to use.
This season was definitely one to remember! All of our teams worked extremely hard throughout the season. It was great to see how much everyone progressed individually, and as a team!
Congratulations to our Champions and great job to all of our teams! The coaches are so proud of all of our players and we hope to see everyone this Winter!
2nd/3rd Grade:
Our 2nd/3rd Graders came ready to play with a lot of energy and team spirit. The Dolphins, Starfish, Sea Horses and Sea Turtles were ready to fight for the Championship. It was the Starfish and Sea Horses in the championship game. When the final whistle blew and the score was all tied up, it was time for a shootout!
Starfish came out on top and were named Champions of the 2nd/3rd Grade Rec League!
Congratulations to the Starfish!
4th/5th Grade:
Next up was the 4th/5th Grade Competition. All teams showed up ready to work hard and have fun! Every game was fought hard by all teams; the Lions, Monkeys, Tigers and Giraffes. It was the Monkeys and Tigers in the Championship Game. This game also ended in a shootout and it was the Tigers who became 4th/5th Grade Fall Rec League Champions!
Great job, Tigers!
Novice League:
We had strong competition in the Novice League this season. All 5 teams came ready to win and it was great to see how much energy they all had! Each game was hard fought until the final whistle! The Championship Game was played between the Cardinals and the Hawks. Both teams showed great teamwork and skills but it was the Hawks who ended on top and became Champions of the Novice League!
Way to go, Hawks!
Experienced League:
It was a hard fought competition between all teams in the Experienced League. The Coyotes, Foxes, Wolves and Hyenas all came ready and motivated to win the Championship. Each team came up with a strategic game plan to fight for the win! It was the Hyenas and Foxes in the Championship game. It was back & forth the whole time as neither team was able to find the back of the goal! The final whistle blew, the score was 0-0, so it was time for a shootout! The Foxes scored the go-ahead goal and were named Champions of Experienced Rec League!
Congratulations to the Foxes!

The Indoor League will be traditional indoor rules, which is a great way to improve your skills in the off-season. This is also a great way for a HS Team to bond during the off-season, and improve both mentally and physically during the Winter months! Click Here for more Information!
Winter Rec League: This program is for both experienced and inexperienced players. During the Winter Rec League, players will be placed on teams, and will have both a practice and a game each Saturday. Each team will play for 1.5 hours each Saturday. They will have a 45min practice session first, and then immediately play in a game versus another team in the second 45min session. Each game will be two 20min halves with a 5min halftime. Winter Clinics: This Winter Clinic is a weekday clinic for both experienced and beginner field hockey players. During the practice, the players will be taught the fundamental skills of field hockey. At the end of each practice, they will get to test their newly learned skills in a fun game scenario drill or in a scrimmage.
