In his playing days at Hammond High School in Columbia, MD, Brian was a standout athlete, earning prestigious titles including 2x All State, 3x Baltimore Sun All Met, and 2x Washington Post All Met player. His exceptional skills were highlighted in his junior year when he set the Maryland Public High School record for home runs in a season with an impressive 14, a feat that led to his induction into the Hammond HS Hall of Fame in 2016. At the collegiate level, Brian contributed significantly to UNC-Wilmington, where he was part of the nationally ranked pitching staff that propelled the Seahawks to the LSU Regional in 2003. Despite a serious back injury, Brian's determination led him to finish his playing career at Towson University, where he played a vital role in the CAA Championship game. Transitioning seamlessly into coaching, Brian made a significant impact at Hammond HS from 2008 to 2012, guiding the team to 2 state championship appearances. His coaching prowess continued at CCBC Catonsville, where he led the team to 2 MD Division 2 JUCO Championships and clinched the Region XX Championship in 2016. In the summer leagues, Brian mentored young talents, coaching teams ranging from 14U to 16U, and also took on the role of General Manager for Koa Sports Collegiate Team and the Silver Spring Thunderbolts in the Cal Ripken Collegiate League. Brian's dedication to the game, both on the field and as a mentor, has left an indelible mark on the baseball community, making him a respected figure in the world of sports.
