About:  Just weeks before fall tryouts in her freshman year of high school, Alex decided to try out for the Field Hockey team and immediately fell in love with the sport. After her playing career was over, she discovered a new passion; coaching. She started coaching at Mercy High School, where she earned Baltimore City Field Hockey Coach of the Year in 2008 by The Baltimore Sun. After leading the team to an undefeated season (17-0-2) and the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland C Conference championship, Alex had the opportunity to leap into collegiate-level coaching with Oberlin College and Goucher College. She earned her bachelor’s degree at UMBC and master’s degree at Goucher College in Athletic Leadership and Administration. She is thrilled to be a part of Koa Sports and is eager to spread the excitement of being a player, a teammate, and a coach!
