Welcome back to the Monday field hockey blog! On September 13th girls around the country will be celebrating National Field Hockey Day.
Here at Koa we celebrated National Field Hockey Day a week early by hosting a free Field Hockey Clinic along with the University of Maryland’s field hockey team. Over 100 girls participated in the clinic and we were able to spread the game of field hockey a crossed Montgomery county.
We have other great events planned for the weekend of September 13th and 14th to allow girls to enjoy a day of playing field hockey.
Saturday September 13th we will hold our 3rd practice for our U12 and U14 club teams.
Sunday September 14th we will hold our opening day of rec field hockey for girls 2nd grade-8th grade.
Ways you can help celebrate National Field Hockey Day:
- Invite friends over to play a pickup game of field hockey
- Host an equipment drive for your community
- Teach field hockey to someone who has never played
