Where It All Started

Before there was a name, a logo, or a website, there was just Tony Korson and a group of neighborhood baseball players. What started as one coach’s vision has grown into a 501(c)(3) powerhouse, but the mission remains the same—Shaping Kids’ Lives Through Sports.

Our Mission

Koa is committed to shaping kids’ lives through sports. Through the following approach, Koa aims to develop each child to his or her full potential as an athlete and a person:

Employing trained and dedicated professional coaches and instructors who operate under the supervision and management of our full-time professional staff
Providing a positive community for our young athletes and their families
Using sports as a vehicle to teach life lessons like hard work, sportsmanship, self-discipline, and coping with adversity.

While many of our young athletes will enjoy long, successful playing careers in high school and beyond, we recognize not all are destined for professional, college, or even high school competition. Whatever the sport, activity, or level of competition, Koa’s basic philosophy is the same – shaping kids’ lives through sports. Consistent with this philosophy, Koa affords its young athletes the opportunity to develop in their sport of choice and, ultimately, in the game of life.

Earned, Not Handed Out

At Koa Sports, we believe the real victory is in the journey. The grind, the sweat, the friendships—that’s what lasts. A trophy collecting dust? That’s just a reminder of something already done.

More Than a Gold Star

We don’t do participation trophies. Instead, we give our athletes something they can use and wear with pride—gear that keeps them in the game. A beanie, a t-shirt, a piece of equipment—something that pushes them forward, not something that sits on a shelf.

The Real Reward

The ultimate prize? Becoming stronger, faster, and more confident than yesterday. That’s what we train for. That’s what we play for.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

At Koa Sports, our mission is to provide top-tier youth sports experiences, not get caught up in registration headaches. Our cancellation policy is designed with staffing, waitlists, and fairness in mind. We appreciate your understanding!

Camps

If you need to cancel your camp registration:

1 Week or More Before Camp Full refund minus a $25 processing fee.
Less Than 1 Week Before Camp Choose from:

Transfer to a future, available camp session.
Receive a full Koa Sports credit for any future program.

First-Day Guarantee: If a camper or CIT has a terrible first day and no longer wants to participate, we’ll issue a full refund minus a $25 administrative fee.

Recreation Leagues

Flag Football, Basketball & Field Hockey

Before Registration Closes – 100% refund.
After Registration Closes:

Find a Replacement: Receive an 80% refund.
No Replacement Found: Receive an 80% Koa Sports credit.

Tryout-Based Teams

(BABL, Travel Baseball, Select Hoops, DT Field Hockey, Club Field Hockey)

Once you accept your position on the team, no refunds will be issued.

Injury Exceptions

Injuries will be reviewed case by case by Program Directors and Koa Sports Management.

Refund Disputes

All disputes go directly to Koa Sports’ Board. Program Directors cannot make exceptions.

Recreational Code of Conduct

At Koa Sports, we create a fun, safe, and positive environment where kids of all ages and skill levels can learn, compete, and grow through sports. To uphold this standard, we require all players, parents, spectators, coaches, and staff to follow our Code of Conduct. Failure to comply may result in consequences ranging from a temporary suspension to permanent expulsion from all Koa Sports activities.
