Travel Program
Koa Travel Baseball
Travel Baseball is the highest level of Koa baseball. Travel provides players the opportunity to play at a higher level, find camaraderie, perform through adversity, learn teamwork and to respect opponents on and off the field. For players in the younger age groups expect an emphasis on skills and team building while keeping it fun. As the players approach high school, expectations rise for increased focus and performance. The program is ideal for players looking to try out for their high school team and potentially play college baseball. As players progress in age and skill level, teams gel, on and off-field friendships form, and meaningful baseball memories are made.

Program Description: Koa’s Travel baseball program is intended for serious players. Travel baseball must be players’ primary athletic commitment for the season. Interested athletes must attend tryouts. Players receive equal attention during practices, and playing time is based on merit. Teams will have starters and bench players; in double-headers (when applicable) starters play the one game and the other game is for player development. Players attend two 1.5-hour practices/week at fields in the Bethesda/Potomac/Rockville area. Teams play between 12-18 games/season, depending on the age group, with games on Saturdays or Sundays. Each team has a “Head Coach” that attends games and practices with rotating Assistant Coaches (avg. 1.5 coaches per game/practice). Coaches (and you and your athlete) are aided by our full-time staff, including Koa’s Director of Baseball, who handles field assignments, scheduling, uniforms, equipment, practice plans and more.
