What does Shaping Kids’ Lives Through Sports mean to you?:
“A lot of valuable lessons can be learned from sports. Putting kids in a position to face adversity and overcome challenges in a supportive environment is very important. Working hard together as well as participating in something for the greater good not just themselves individually can go a long way for their future.”

Playing Experience: 
Mike played basketball for Walt Whitman High School, winning a state championship in 2006 and was first-team All-Montgomery County. From there, he went to St. Mary’s college in Southern Maryland and played for their DIII basketball team. He was a member of the team for 5 seasons. During his time there Mike was a team captain as well as being selected for the conference All-Academic Team.

Coaching Experience: 
Mike has a wide range of coaching experience starting with coaching 3rd and 4th grade with Koa. He later went on to coach the girls basketball team at Walt Whitman High School. Mike then was the head coach of the boys JV team at Whitman. His most recent coaching job was at Northwood High School coaching their boys varsity team.
