About the Koa Sports Basketball Prep School Maryland Residents Trust

Koa Sports offers one of the best and most acclaimed basketball prep schools in the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area. Our team is headed up by Jimmie Parker. Jimmie is a 6’6’’ former Division I player at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. The assistant coach is Jeremy Schlafstein, a former varsity player at the local Wootton High School. He’s worked as an assistant on the Washington Wizards, and previously was the assistant coach for the varsity team at Walter Johnson High School.

Our basketball prep school is a transformational process that goes beyond just basketball skills. In addition to our incredible coaching and fitness training by a strength coach for the Ravens, athletes will get exposure to a) life skills coaching and training b) entrepreneurial skills training c) self-help readings and lectures and d) business etiquette and interview skills.

The program is 6 days a week and and athletes are expected to arrive at 7:30 am Monday - Friday, and at 7:00 am on Saturdays. All practices and sessions will be held in our 13,000 square foot state of the art facility. Games are played against private high schools, other prep teams, and junior college programs.

We keep no more than 15 players on the roster at any given time - we’re a competitive team!

If necessary, financial aid is available. College or high school virtual credits are available.
