August Newsletter – More Girls Programming & Pardon Our Dust!

August 2019 Newsletter!

Koa Families,Welcome back! From vacation, staycation, family reunions, or camp, regardless of activity I hope everyone had an amazing summer! We wrapped up our record-setting summer of camps; with nearly 50 week-long sessions featuring 6 programs. Baseball, Basketball, Field Hockey, Flag Football, Multi-Sports, and Tennis.

We will continue our hot summer, with a plethora of fall programming. Including a new program geared for our younger players. Our Saturday morning Future Stars program (flyer below) is coed for ages 4-6 and allows the athletes to sample multiple sports inside our state of the art facility.

Pardon our dust! We are excited to announce that we are improving the parents viewing area at Koa! Check out the new and improved parents’ lounge rendering! Underneath the mezzanine will be more offices to accommodate our growing full-time staff. We are currently at 15 full-time employees and have nearly 300 part-timers.

Stay up to date on all things Koa by following us on social media!

Thanks for your support!

Thank you to all for voting Koa Sports Best of Bethesda 2019!

What’s New?

We have partnered with the very prominent Potomac Valley Thunder girl’s basketball program. We will be hosting our first girls skill development clinics starting Monday, September 9th!

Basketball officially returned this August as our select program hosted tryouts for the 3rd-10th grade! Over 120 boys participated where we were able to form 11 teams. Practices begin this upcoming week as many of our teams begin league-play in a few weeks!

Be on the lookout for our weekly updates as the Green Wave look to continue their momentum from a great 2018-2019 campaign.

Please email Evan Sirkey if you have any questions!

Practices have already begun! We are excited to see everyone back and to begin another great fall season!

We want to introduce you all to our new Director of Travel Baseball, Eryk Dees.

Eryk was born in Miami, Florida, where he was a 4-year varsity letterman for baseball at Coral Reef High School.  He earned a scholarship to Eastern Kentucky University and unfortunately suffered a career-ending arm (non-throwing arm) injury after his freshman season. Eryk transferred from Eastern Kentucky to Florida State University, where he completed his BA in history. Following his playing career, Eryk began teaching and coaching at the high school level. He is familiar with the college recruiting process, how to prepare athletes for high school baseball, and player development for all ages.  Many of the athlete’s Eryk coached are continuing their college and pro careers all over the country.  He’s excited to make an impact in the Koa Community and help your son develop on and off the field.

For questions or to schedule a private lesson email Eryk!
